The graveyard of forgotten sorrows
Spreads in the shadow of doubt
Ashes coat the living, blood soaks the ground soft
The unborn innocents of tomorrow
Mourn in their neglected vaults
Hatred forms their coffins that are lined with folly and faults.
The preachers of love, long gone
Their words twisted for wrong
Love turned into loathing, smiles into a bitter song
The sorry remnants of past glory
Justifying a servitude to this farce
Information aplenty, wisdom sadly scarce
The lefts and rights on each extreme
Grasping a centre made of straws
No more in betweens, no more saving laws
Boundaries marked in battles
That have no winners at all
Just scrubbed and manicured heroes that rise and quickly fall
The mechanism of greed rolls along
Unhindered in its might
The juggernaut that crushes, blocks every speck of light
And I know this rant of a verse
Will be another wasted call in a void
Yet the silly heart yearns for peace, one for which millions toiled
